On his way to Bugembe Stadium, Museveni paused to meet the Kyabazinga and formally lay the foundation stone for the new headquarters of the Obwa Kyabazinga bwa Busoga.
He praised the Kyabazinga and his team for their cooperation and engagement with government initiatives.
“This development will support the cultural institution as we continue working with the people of Busoga to secure peace and push forward socio-economic transformation,” Museveni said, highlighting the link between cultural leadership and regional development.
The event preceded a big rally at Bugembe Stadium.
